Day 4: The other day we were all looking forward to the most.
Today was the 1st day of the CMA Festival. Can’t believe we scheduled our vacation at just the perfect time! It was not planned that way.
We had planned to spend the entire day at the festival, but in the end decided walking around in 100 degree heat..and major humidity… was NOT the way we wanted to spend our day.
So we went bowling
Seriously…we found a place that offered bowling for $1 per person. We had a great time.
Then we headed back to the hotel to let Kalia rest for a bit (or tried to, the girl would NOT sleep).
Around 5:00 we headed back into Nashville, ready to see what the Festival was all about. There was live music EVERYWHERE…lots of vendors offering free samples (ice cream, cranberry juice, even books!). Massive amounts of people crowded into 5-6 blocks. Crazy! But fun!
We had tickets to watch the nightly concerts at LP Field. We were stoked to see Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans & Easton Corbin. We even got to see guest appearances by Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Kelly Clarkson and my personal favorite, Alabama!
It was SO hot, and we looked miserable…

But we had a fantastic time. The girls (and we) unanimously agreed this was the best part of the trip.
The concert started at 7 and ended around 11:30. Not bad for the price paid.
Late to bed, early to rise….off to Chattanooga tomorrow.
