MN Vacation – Day 2 6.15.10

Today was another rainy day in Bloomington, so we decided to hit the indoor waterpark.

Oh. My. Gosh!

What a fun, fun place!

This place was truly amazing! There were approximately 4 slides – one of them was 10 stories tall! There was an amazing lazy river, a wave pool, a small swimming area with basketball hoops, a HUGE play area for the little ones (which Kalia LOVED!), and even a surf simulator (which Dan had fun trying). And the best part? The water was a balmy 85 degrees!

If you are ever in the area, be sure to plan a visit. It’s definitely worth the cost!

(unfortunately no pics as I wanted to play in the water too, and not have to worry about my camera)

We spent most the day here, then headed to Culver’s for some yummy dinner.

Dan really wanted to hit a ball game while there. The plans were originally for all of us to go, but since the Twins have a new park, they were completely sold out the days we were there. Dan & Emilee managed to score some standing room only tickets, so they went by themselves. The took the metro link (which had a stop directly across from the hotel – how convenient) all the way to right in front of the stadium. They enjoyed the game, and the Twins even managed to pull off the win over the Rockies (by quite a bit, actually). Amanda, Kalia & I entertained ourselves around the hotel – swimming, working out in the gym, watching a movie and eventually getting Kalia to sleep just a few minutes before Dan & Emilee came back.
