Guangzhou

Guangzhou will be our last stop on this wonderful journey to our daughter. This is where we'll complete the US portion of the adoption (medical appointment, consulate appointment & swearing in ceremony). In between that, we'll be having fun at some local joints!

The Victory Hotel

Our last hotel of the trip! Over 100 years old, it is a famous hotel with neoclassic style, which has more than 300 comfortable rooms & suites. (We hope to stay in the business suite...East wing). The facility offers a table tennis/billiard room & exercise room. The rooms include in-room computer with high speed internet, bath robes & slippers, umbrella, water filtration system (so we don't have to worry about boiling the water), etc. Seems to be a very nice hotel, for around $110 per night.

Yuntai Gardens/White Cloud Mountain

Beautiful botanical gardens with over 200 varieties of flowers/shrubs, situated at the entrance to White Cloud Mountain. For less than $10 per person we can visit the mountain & gardens, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. (The shrubs at the gardens are cut & shaped into various art forms...amazing & beautiful!)

Pearl River Cruise

A beautiful evening dinner cruise where you can take in the sights along the river, along with the gorgeous lights.

Shopping

This is also where we'll do the biggest portion of our shopping. Other than purchasing some embroidery pieces in Changsha, and a few unique pieces found in Beijing, we plan to save our shopping for Guangzhou. (Can anyone guess how many pairs of shoes I'll bring home????)
