Fun, Fun, Fun

Our KC Getaway was just PERFECT!!!!

The weather was beautiful, the food was good, the boat ride was very romantic....we absolutely loved it!

We started off with a trip to Cinzetti's. We heard about this from one of Dan's colleagues and it was everything he said it would be. DELICIOUS!!!! I think they only have 2 locations, one in KC and one in Colorado, but if you're ever in one of those 2 places be sure to check it out! We'll definitely be going back!

Next we headed toward downtown KC and walked around Crown Plaza. It's like an outdoor shopping mall, but with some higher end shops (Gucci, Coach, Rolex, etc...). We didn't buy anything (too rich for my blood), but it was fun to browse. I especially liked the Swarovski crystal shop....their stuff is very pretty. They even had a flash drive that was covered in crystals (for like $180 or so) and headphones (for around $100)!

There were some beautiful fountains...and even a wedding or two!

Around 7:00 we boarded our gondola for a short ride. It was just getting dark, all the lights were on...it was so pretty! Dan surprised me with this beautiful necklace. He is so thoughtful and spoils me all the time.

After the ride we headed about a block away for some cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory. That place was PACKED! I think it must have been homecoming or something because everywhere you looked there were young girls/guys all dressed up. It was fun to eat our yummy cheesecake and watch all the teens. I had the Kahlua cheesecake and I bought a piece of caramel for the girls to share. Both pieces were delish!

We couldn't have asked for a better day. Nice & sunny and just warm enough to be comfortable in pants/short sleeves.
