This week was another fun, but very busy, weekend. It's no wonder I'm always tired :) But you know, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Friday I came down with some kind of bug. I'd been feeling kinda yucky all week, but I just figured it was allergies/sinuses. And maybe it was, in the beginning. But by Thursday evening, I knew that wasn't all it was. I went to work Friday, but probably should have stayed home. I was coughing, sneezing, sore throat...you name it. YUCK! Luckily, by Saturday morning I felt fine. Still a little sniffly, but that's about it.
Saturday morning I tried to get a few things cleaned up before I had to go to work (I don't normally work Saturdays, but I was covering for a co-worker who wanted the day off...it was only 3.5 hours). Dan picked me up from work and we went to the Valdes' house for an FCC Chili Cookoff (2nd annual). What a great time! The weather was absolutely beautiful! We had a couple new members, one from Wichita, KS and the other from Indianapolis, IN. It's so nice to see our little group growing. I think this is our last event together until CNY in January. Hopefully by then we'll have one more to add to our group (The Lane's should have their referral by December...hopefully they'll be home by then).
I don't remember these girls' names, but they sang the National Anthem for us.

Saturday evening Emilee had a birthday/Halloween party. Her friend, Elliott, has one every year for the ENTIRE 4th grade (it's a small school....only around 60 kids invited (and of course not all show), but still....that's a lot of kids!) They always have such a good time!
Sunday we got up bright & early and finished up a few errands/cleaning, as Dan's mom & dad and aunt & uncle were coming over for dinner. I was in the mood for pasta, so I made a Lemon Shrimp pasta & Tuscan Chicken pasta. Both were yummy, but I think the Lemon Shrimp got a few more votes! It was nice to have everyone over for good food and good conversation.
After they left we decided to do a little decorating for Halloween. We still have more to do, but here's a sneak peak of our front porch.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
