Starting another adoption journey means we have to find ways to save money.
I used to be really, really good at couponing. I’m not one of those extreme couponers…you know, the ones where their entire house is taken over by supplies. But I do like to save money & stock up when I can.
Our local Schnuck’s (maybe nationwide, I’m not sure) was running a special this week for triple coupons. And I was able to find a ton of coupons that matched up to their sale items.
I made 2 different trips to Schnucks. I didn’t get pictures of the first round, but here’s the 2nd…
All in all I was able to score $150.16 worth of groceries (sale prices…not including coupons) for $37.06! A savings of almost 75%! Not near as good as some of those extreme couponers…but I was extremely happy with my haul!
My haul included: 2 boxes Cheerios, 6 yougurt, 4 noodles, 6 pkgs. frozen noodles, 2 pkgs, frozen dinner rolls, 3 pkgs. frozen pretzels, 2 boxes Minute Rice, 8 double rolls toliet paper, 2 cans cooking spray, 2 bottles All, frozen cinnamon rolls, 2 jars salsa, grape juice, 5 boxes rice krispie treats, 2 candy bars, 2 bottle soda, a pkg of gum, 2 baking powder, Truvia, a cake mix, 2 body wash, 2 salad dressings, 4 cans chili, 2 boxes oatmeal, 5 tubes toothpaste, 2 boxes granola bars, 2 Bisquick, 2 pkgs, granola bars, 4 dips & 2 Zatarain rice pkgs. Not bad at all I think!
