This weekend we attended our local FCC's Chinese New Year event. We've been looking forward to this for awhile...connecting with other waiting families, seeing the cute little kiddos, feasting on some yummy Chinese food and enjoying some traditional Chinese dance & music.What a great time we had! This year was even better than last year. They had more crafts (which they girls really enjoyed)...making lanterns, dragon masks, tangram puzzles, tissue flowers, etc... This year they were also able to bring in some Chinese students from a local college who showed us some traditional Chinese dances, song & music. The children also performed for us...counting to 10 in Chinese, playing hand games and singing songs.
So much fun! Can't wait until next year when at least one of our waiting families will be home with their little one!
