Wow! Who knew that the 9 month anniversary could affect you so much?
During both pregnancies, I knew that once I reached 9 months, it wouldn't be long before I would be holding my little girl. But with the adoption, who knows how long it will be. I'm so glad to have 9 months behind us, but not knowing how much longer we have to wait is so very, very hard!
When we started we were told the wait was around 10-12 months. Meaning in the next few months we'd be looking at pictures of our precious baby girl. Unfortunately, that is NOT going to happen! It's really hard to think that we may very well still have 1-2 years to wait.
Lord, please give me the strength to make it through and know that in YOUR time our wait will end and a new journey will begin.

Congratulations!!! You are now 1 more month closer to your little princess. That feels really good!! You go and celebrate.

Happy 9 Months!!! It is a little weird to reach this milestone...don't know why but it affected me in different way too.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for your family. Think of it as 1 more month closer to bringing your daughter home to her forever family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 9 months behind you. I'm not quite there, but it just seems like we should be in the home stretch, not still looking at 1-2 until the "finish line". Anyway, congratulations on 9 less months you'll have to wait.
