A Year in Review

2011….welcome!

Lots of fun in 2010. Here’s a little look back….

January…

• I didn’t take a lot of pictures this month, but did enjoy spending a couple days a week home with my baby girl. I love my job…

February…

• We celebrated our first Chinese New Year home with Kalia. We enjoyed a family dinner at a Mongolian restaurant, celebrated with the local FCC group and just hung out at home.
• We also celebrated my nephews’, Quentin & Zach, birthdays.

March…

• Again, not many pictures taken this month. We experienced a couple warmer days so we got out some corn for Kalia to play in. May sound silly, but she sure enjoys it!

April…

• This month we celebrated my niece, Aria, and nephews’, Malachi & Gavin, birthdays. The weather was really beautiful and everyone had a great time playing at the park.
• We also celebrated our 1 year forever family day with Kalia. What a blessing she has been to our family.

May…

• One of my favorite months this year. My aunt visited from California. She doesn’t get back very often, so when she does, we have to take advantage. Her daughter, Harmony, is only a month older than Kalia.
• We also attended the local Memorial Day air show, which is always a good time.

June…

• Another memorable month as we went on our family vacation to the Mall of America. We’d never been, and had a blast!

July…

• I just absolutely love this picture of Kalia in one of her new swimsuits this season. She loves playing in her sandbox, and the small pool we set up just for her.
• Kierstyn & Kariana also celebrated birthday number 4 this month, and Peyton celebrated his 3rd.

August…

• My oldest turned 14 this month…I can hardly believe it! She’s such a beautiful young lady.
• We also had the opportunity to host an exchange student from Japan for a couple weeks. It was quite the experience…one we’ll probably do again this year.

September…

• My baby turned 3!
• Dan & I celebrated our anniversary a little early, and spent the weekend in St. Louis. We watched the Border Showdown game (MU vs. Illinois State), watched a Cardinals game, lost some money at the casino and just hung out with each other.
• We also celebrated the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival with the FCC group.

October…

• My beautiful middle child turned 12 this year….how does this happen?!
• I enjoyed dressing Kalia up in different fall outfits/ Halloween costumes for all her various parties. She loved trick-or-treating as Little Red Riding Hood this year.
• We love celebrating fall…visiting the pumpkin patches…watching the leaves turn & loving the cool, crisp mornings.

November…

• My husband & I celebrated birthdays
• We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and took time to reflect on all our blessings.

December….

• Lots of fun activities this month….parades, Christmas concerts, cookie decorating, gingerbread house making, an early visit from Santa, and lots of other yearly traditions.
• Our 2nd Christmas as a family of 5. And what a beauti-ful Christmas it was!

 

We can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store for us. We’re hoping for another fantastic year!
