*** Kalia had her 28 month checkup Friday. She's currently 33 1/2" tall and weighs 25 lb. 5 oz. She's just below the 25th percentile for weight, and at the 25th for height.
*** Had a talk with her speech therapist the other day about our concern of apraxia. She said that it had crossed her mind, but after thinking more about it she just isn't ready to make that diagnosis just yet. She said that most the time when they are apraxic verbally they will show some apraxia in other areas as well, which is not the case in this instance. She also said that she doesn't see that Kalia is unable to form her mouth to make the sounds. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on it, but she did say that a lot of the exercises she'd use if Kalia was apraxic she's actually using already...so not a lot would change, therapy-wise.
*** I got some really cute things at Gymb0ree the other day...redeeming some Gymbucks. I think I'm going to try one of their sister-stores...Crazy 8....they have some really cute things for a lot cheaper than Gymb0ree. Great sales!
