872 days...That's how long we've waited to get the official invite to bring our baby home.
We're on the downhill slope now!We've requested a consulate appointment for May 6 or 7, which means we should leave on Apr. 22 (Mom's b-day!). CA should be confirmed next Wed. or Thurs. and we can then begin to make travel arrangements. We will spend 3 days in Beijing, 7 days in Hunan (there's a national holiday on May 1, so we're forced to spend the weekend in province & finish up provincial paperwork on Monday), and 3-4 days in Guangzhou. We will fly back home on either May 8 or 9. It's a few extra days, but we'd rather do it that way than have to wait an extra week to clear the holiday. We're hoping to visit the orphanage anyway, so the extra couple days in Changsha is not really a big deal to us.
The countdown is on...finally! I can't believe it's really time!

I am so incredibly happy for you. Little Kalia is going to be so loved from her immediate family to her cyber family. We're all praying for you to bring home your precious little one, and finally give this little girl all the love and attention she needs. You've waited so long and you and Dan and the girls can know begin a new journey to your extended family.

Isn't TA the BEST feeling! The final piece of paper. We waited 9 months before we got to travel, but it was worth every second. Looking forward to seeing that precious little bundle in your arms!
