The girls had a great time at Halloween this year. Amanda was a hula dancer and Emilee was her favorite pop star, Hannah Montana. Even the dog dressed up...as a ladybug, of course!
Our fun evening started with a yummy pizza for dinner, before getting the girls into their costumes for trick-or-treating. Amanda's was pretty easy, but Emilee's wig was a pain in the ????. Then it was off to a local neighborhood for treats. The neighborhood we trick-or-treat at always gets a TON of traffic, and we always meet many of the girls' friends along the way. We usually stay out for an hour to an hour & a half...then the girls head over to the school for a Halloween dance. Even for only being out an hour or so, they never fail to almost fill their baskets with yummy candy.
While the girls are at their dance, Dan & I enjoy a little quiet time...with a few late trick-or-treaters coming to the door. We usually get around 25 or 30 (not a lot, but since we're out during "peak" time, this is about all we ever get)....this year we only had 10! Not sure where everyone was, but that just leaves more candy for us (like we needed it!).
The weather was absolutely beautiful....upper 50's & clear-as-a-bell! Who could've asked for anything more?
