For starters...my girls are back!!! We picked them up Saturday morning on our way to see Dixie Stampede. I was sooooo happy to have them back...I was missing them terribly!
On Saturday we went to see the Dixie Stampede. We saw the Christmas show last year, and this year the Girl Scouts got reduced (waaaayyyy reduced...only $13 each) tickets to see the regular show. It was awesome...as we expected. Man they know how to put on a good show...and you just can't beat the yummy meal (a whole rotisserie chicken, slice of pork tenderloin, half roasted potato, half corn-on-the-cob, creamy vegetable soup, cheesy garlic roll and a HUGE apple turnover for dessert....we always have some leftovers!) If you ever get a chance to see this show, don't hesitate to go...it's well worth your money!
Today we hung out around the house. The girls went for a short bike ride, swam a bit, and then put on a fashion show. I cleaned the house & caught up on laundry (from the girls being gone all week), then Dan & I went for a 3.5 mile walk (a very hilly walk...we definitely got our exercise in today!), and grilled some brats for dinner before Dan had to go to work. The girls had their end-of-summer-softball party at the Country Club, so they got in another 3-4 hours of swimming (I guess they got their exercise in today, too!)
Lots of fun...but I'm ready to sit down and watch a little more of the Olympics!
