Oh man, am I behind! What a week!Let's start at the beginning.
MONDAY - Nothing much happened today. Thought it was going to be a semi-slow week. HAH!
TUESDAY - Emilee had a ball game. She has finally learned to hit the ball and is doing VERY good. She made it to 3rd base on her first hit, to first on her second hit and out at first on her third. A great improvement from the last couple games. (They lost 4-3)
WEDNESDAY - Last meeting with our general contractor before he presents the final estimate to take to our bank. If all goes well we should get everything back next week and be able to take it to the bank by next Thursday or Friday. Then they'll take another week or two to get everything together. Hopefully by the end of July we'll be able to get started on our kitchen remodel! We also found out today that one of my co-workers (who works in the press room) was involved in a head on collision and is in critical condition. Apparently he fell asleep and hit someone head-on (she's also in critical condition).
THURSDAY - Amanda had a game. They ended up winning this one, but not because of their great playing! I'm not sure what was up with them, but NONE of them wanted to play tonight! They couldn't catch, couldn't throw and couldn't bat. I don't know how many balls they chased around the field. Terrible playing! Seems like this age group has their ups & downs. One day they'll play hard, the next they couldn't care less! Hopefully next week's game will be better! (They're still undefeated)
My coworker has been upgraded to serious condition. He is able to communicate through writing and they're planning to take him off the respirator tonight. Keep praying for him!
FRIDAY - Oh my gosh, what a busy, busy day! Not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I do graphic design at our local newspaper. This week, EVERYBODY (and I mean EVERYBODY) decided to run ads. To top it off, we were 1 person short and still training a new girl. Basically I was doing my work and the work of 1 1/2 others. Busy is an understatement! But hey, it's over and it's the start of the weekend!
Tomorrow we have ball practice till 12:30, then Emilee and I are going to the Renaissance Festival (Amanda has a birthday party and Dan will be sleeping (he works overnight). The rest of the weekend will be spent going through a ton of stuff that has been donated for our fundraising garage sale and cleaning house. Good times!
I'll leave you with a picture of our newest baby...our kitten! She's approximately 14 weeks old and has been with us for 4 weeks. She's the best!
