It started on Saturday where my mother, 2 of my sisters, my grandmother, my aunt (mother-to-be) and myself all met at my grandmother's house for a fun get-together. We had some snacks, shared some stories, gave my aunt some motherly advice and listened to stories about every mother's children. It was wonderful! I can't believe we haven't done something like this before! I hope this becomes tradition!
On Sunday, I woke up and my oldest daughter cooked me breakfast. Nothing fancy (just some scrambled eggs), but just the fact that she thought this up all by herself really touched me! Both of my girls also gave me cards they had made themselves (the best kind, in my opinion!). Then we all went out and played some softball and went for ice cream. Nothing exciting planned, but just getting to spend quality time with my girls made for a wonderful day!
