I have had the WORST WEEK EVER!!!! In case any of you would like to wallow in my misery, here's how it went!
MONDAY: Found out my coworker will be off for a week because his wife is having a baby (YEAH!!!!) Had to stay an hour later at work to cover his load (BUMMER!)
TUESDAY: My coworker had the baby (a healthy girl)! My other coworker is basically incompetent so, again, I stayed late!
WEDNESDAY: Had a fight with my sister - who for some reason fails to see why, at the age of 21 or 22 (can't remember exactly) and with 4 kids, she and her husband shouldn't be able to support themselves. Long story short, they have been "borrowing" money from my parents for quite some time now because they "can't find jobs". My parents, in the meantime, have used all their savings to help them pay their bills. And when I told them how I felt about my parents using all their money to support a grown adult, I'm the bad guy! I love them to death, but I stand by everything I said. Sometimes life sucks!!! (Oh, and I am still covering for my coworker that had the baby and the incompetent one, so I stayed another hour late)
THURSDAY: Work stinks!!!! Long story short, the incompetent one thinks I should not only do my work and the other coworkers work, but part of hers too!!!! (2 1/2 hours overtime!) But, on the up side, my other sister called and asked how I was handling the fight with my one sister (who is still not talking to me, by the way). I thought that was very sweet!
FRIDAY: I lost it! Between the crap at work, the fight with my sister, and the ice storm...I had a breakdown! After driving through the ice to get home, I decided I needed Chinese food and a glass of wine! (Luckily, my loving husband took pity on me and braved the ice to get the Chinese. Don't worry, at this time there was still a lot of traffic on the road so it was slick, but not treacherous!)
SATURDAY: Slept in (YEAH!) because I have to work my part time job tonight (YUCK!!) and another ice storm is moving in (GIVE ME A BREAK!). Please tell me tomorrow will be better!!!! (My competent co-worker is back on Tuesday, so only 1 more day to deal with the incompetent one!)
Sorry you had such a bad week. I know it's tough when you see family taking advantage of your parents and nobody seems to get it. I hope this week is better for you.
