14" plus 1.5 - 2" of ice underneath! Needless to say, there was no working that day for me (the first snow day missed in over 5 years!) and no school for the kiddos! We spent the day drinking hot chocolate and playing in the snow! What fun! (Of course, the fun ended on Saturday when we needed to get out and had to shovel 5+ hours)
And this was the view from our back door! Notice the snow comes up the door about 8". The drift behind is approximately 16-17". Our dogs took one look at this and high-tailed it into the living room and hid behind the couch!
Now that's a lot of snow! I think I would have had to do exactly what the dogs did!
