I somehow managed to get conned into leading Emilee's Girl Scout Troop. Well, I guess you can't call it a troop, as she's the only girl there. Long story short - her leader took a job that requires her to work nights, leaving no time to lead a troop. They couldn't find anyone to lead her troop, so they were going to just not have one this year. Emilee really wanted to participate, so I took it on! 
Anyway, the first lesson was on puppets, plays and dolls. We learned a little of the history of puppets, made a yarn doll, finger puppets, paper bag puppet and will attend a play (in December). We had a lot of fun and I have newfound respect for all Girl Scout Leaders! What a job!
